The Indian Runner Duck Association awards rosettes for the Best Indian Runner and the Best of Colour in Runners at six autumn/winter waterfowl events in the UK. In addition, the winner of the most points at the major shows (each year) also gets a Runner model to keep. This award is in the tradition of the Matthew
Smith models. Fashioned in wood by Matthew Smith, his original three models were
used to make painted plaster casts which were awarded to Club members in the
1920s.
A slightly modified version of the award is available for sale. Specially designed and cast in black resin and rock powder, this model weighs approximately 790 grams and stands 27 cm tall. It will be available for collection from major waterfowl exhibitions. BLACK models are available at £20.00 plus p&p £5.00 UK Models are
also available in WHITE for £15.00
